Since opening in Tottington in 2004, Pennine Vets has provided a friendly, family-orientated veterinary surgery for all pets and exotic animals. The surgery is family owned by husband-and-wife Ian & Gillian Mostyn and we concentrate on providing a high quality service that gives value for money. A veterinary practice should be a central part of any local community and we have been made very welcome in Tottington. We now want to extend the same level of care & service to the people of Harwood and elsewhere in Bolton.
Pennine Vets has purchased the old newsagent on Longsight in Harwood, just a third of a mile from Morrisons and the library. Our builders have completely renovated and extended the surgery to provide an additional two new consultation rooms and a fully refurbished interior. We are now fully open for business!

We are open all day from 8:30am to 6:30pm and run our own emergency service out-of-hours. We treat all small animals; dogs, cats, rabbits and exotics and we also accept referrals from other vets for all exotic animals (birds, reptiles, rabbits & fish). We feel that quality of life must be the most important factor in deciding what is best for your pet. Simply phone, e-mail or pop into the surgery if we can be of any help.
Being part of the local community is very important to us and we support a variety of local schools, churches, charities and organisations. We also sponsor a local football team, Tottington United Juniors, and you can follow their season both on our website and in the surgery.
We have now opened our own on-line shop where you can choose from a wide selection of high quality essentials, accessories, toys and food for your pet at any time of the day or night. We are offering a postal service and you can of course, collect any orders direct from the surgery. All our items have been chosen by one of our vets based on products that we have used ourselves or have been recommended to us. We have tried to choose high quality products that offer good value or items that are that little bit special for our Premium range.
