Julie - Receptionist
They say you shouldn't work with children or animals but after almost 20 years working with children, Julie made the leap and started working for Pennine Vets. Julie was born & bred in Sheffield but has lived in Tottington since 1997 and is married with two teenage sons.
Outside work, Julie enjoys getting together with friends, reading, walking and tryng to keep fit!
Nikki - Head Nurse
Nikki has been with the practice since we opened in January 2004 and is a central part of our team. Now back with us after taking maternity leave, Nikki brings over 10 years of experience and helps run our weight loss clinics. In her spare time, she looks after several cats and a dog of her own.
Touche - Greek Spur-Thighed Tortoise
Touche has been with us since 2004, when he came in because he was not eating. His owners were unable to look after him and it eventually took 4 months of tube feeding him before he would eat by himself. He is now extremely lively, eating well and is a bit of a ladies man. He follows us around the surgery and is very quick for his size. Touche was born in 1969 and should be with us for at least the next 50 years in his purpose built vivarium.
Touche with his feeding tube in place - he was like this for 4 months. This allows us to easily feed him and give him any medications he needs.
